I SPY: HIGHLIGHTER YELLOW

I'm feeling a little funky this morning! I've been cooped up inside all week and I am ready for the weekend. And so, today's color board is inspired by my $8.00 Old Navy flip-flops. Typically, I'm stomping around in heels but this summer I've found myself rocking these neon yellow flips with almost any outfit. I don't really own any yellow clothes but these shoes surprisingly look great with a lot of the items I do own and hello- $8.00!

I have to say, I think my favorite item on this color board is the super flashy trash can. It's not only good looking, it's also pretty smart; hover your hand above the lid and it opens. Everyone needs to put their trash somewhere, why not use this opportunity to add some personality to your space. Also, the Boomie's pillow is on sale currently.

Sense Touch-free Bin from Made.com  6. Clear and Yellow Highlighter Necklace from T+ J Designs  7. Barn door in Spring Moss (3007-3A by Valspar) from Southern Living

Once I got started on this sunny yellow board I noticed the color in a couple other objects around my house.

INDIGO BLUE

I came across a great Pinterest board completely devoted to blue art. I could easily waste an afternoon looking through this board and clicking on unknown artist. Now I know where to go if I'm on the hunt for some blue artwork.

Inspired by Jane Young's blue board, I put together a collection of home goods in idigo blue. I love the cool, moody vibe this color puts off. Refreshing!

DAY GLOW

I hope everyone had a good week, I know I'm ready for the weekend! The Howell Mill Food Truck Park & Market just opened, the Inman Park Festival and Tour of Homes is this weekend and I'm seeing Regina Spector and Tom Petty on Sunday! I send you off with this electric color board. Obviously, I love everything on this board (or I wouldn't have made it) but the coolest thing by far is the neon duct tape! I bought some at Lowe's to hang up signage outdoors for an art show and now I use it all the time- I've wrapped my tool handles with it, made labels, drawn on my office wall :)  Another notable item is the canopy bed, it's a very common Ikea bed (I think it's discontinued now) that some genius painted day glow green/yellow.
