GAME TIME BRO!

My personal design style typically leans towards the masculine side. I like dark and cool color palettes, modern design, slick and sexy furniture, and natural materials like exotic woods and uncommon stone. The day a client comes to me for an outrageous Bachelor Pad or  Man Cave, I will be thrilled and very prepared! I want to share some really cool game tables I've been sitting on, they'd make a perfect statement piece for a Man Cave.

This beer pong table was recently featured on Fab.com and I would love to use it somewhere - maybe that  dream bachelor client or a sports bar design in my future?? The table is sophisticated and well executed, hard to believe the goal of this table is to get you sloppy drunk!

TASTY COTTON

Chef Richard Blais just launched a graphic tee line, Tasty Cotton Apparel, inspired by a little food humor. I briefly worked for Blais as a bartender at the original Flip and I have to say this is a really cool fit for him. He aways wears fun tees and he's really creative when it comes to play on words in his menu descriptions like The Fauxlafel chickpea burger and Bun Mi burger (inspired by a Vietnamese banh mi). Check out the tees below, they're a lot of fun and they all run for $24.99

HELLO AND WELCOME!

Hi, I'm Kayte and this is my blog. I own Kayte Designs a small interior design firm located on the Westside of Atlanta, our focus is in residential and hospitality design. I am obsessed with all things design, from furniture to cars, to packaging, lighting, typography and art; I have trouble tearing myself away from images of sexy and thoughtful design. I am dying to show you some of my work, my inspirations and things that are just so cool I need to talk about them. I figured some of my recent work is a good place to start things off. Thank you for checkin' me out!

These shots are from an Au Pair Suite I designed for The Save a Smile Holiday House. It was a blast designing for a fictitious client, no back talk :) and filling the space with beautiful consignment items from some of my favorite sources in Atlanta.

The 5th Street Cafe was a really cute project I worked on with acclaimed designer Patti Krohngold for restauranteur and Atlanta Hawks teammate, Zaza Pachulia. We worked with a tight budget and some very creative local artists. Keep posted for the second transformation coming soon. Patti and I had the unusual opportunity to design the same space for a different owner/operator, Riccardo Ullio (Escorpion Tequila Bar)
